Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress, who is employed in television, film as well as theatre. While growing up in Baltimore, Maryland, she was always fascinated by acting. There she earned her master's degree in theatre and double majored in social and psychology. Following a year at University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the play Pericles at the world-class famous, world-class Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the role of lead. She received rave reviews for her performances during the 92 performances that this play, which was named"the best show of 2002" by Canadian reviewers in 2002.
